Basic Life Support (BLS)
Health Care Provider Certification


Includes Heartsavers curriculum the use of Barrier devices, Bag Valve Masks and AED Skills for the health care professional. Practice and a written test REQUIRED. This course provides a CPR certification card.

Heartsavers CPR and AED

Adult, child, and infant CPR and AED course designed for employee training at companies, corporations,businesses or other entities. For employees and/or designated first responders who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
Classroom setting or on-site training with >5 people

HEARTSAVERS FIRST AID WITH CPR AND AED .jpg

Heartsavers First Aid with CPR and AED (classroom setting)

Provides information on how to manage illness and injuries in a child during the first few minutes of an emergency until professional help arrives. Includes four core modules: First Aid Basics, Injuries and Illnesses, Life-Threatening Emergencies and the Chain of Survival, and CPR and AED. Also includes optional modules, such as Use of a Nebulizer, to meet regulations for day-care centers in certain states.

BLS, ACLS, or PALS INSTRUCTOR COURSE 

This course covers how to plan and prepare for courses, instructing courses, conducting written exams (if applicable), skills practice and skills testing and how to keep your instructor status current. This course includes approximately 30 minutes of information about instructing AHA courses, followed by course-specific information. Continuing education credits (CEU’s) are awarded depending on the individuals’ specific discipline.

The Base Instructor Essentials Course: $400.00

Requirements and steps for becoming an AHA Instructor

  • BLS Instructor students are required to provide the following:

 Letter of Recommendation of training center faculty (TCF), regional faculty or training center coordinator

 Acceptance to align with Babcock Health Training center as documented by the completion of Instructor Candidate Application

 Current BLS Provider Card

 Completion Certificate from Instructor Essentials Course

 Successful completion of BLS Skills Check during the instructor course

 Successful completion of Written Test, 84% or greater (In-class)

 Teach in A BLSProvider Class or Megacode session with successful monitoring within 6 months of date of instructor class

BLS Instructor manual and provider manual are required for entry into the classoom. 

  • ACLS Instructor students are required to provide the following:

 Letter of Recommendation of training center faculty (TCF), regional faculty or training center coordinator

 Acceptance to align with Babcock Health Training center as documented by the completion of Instructor Candidate Application

 Current BLS Provider Card

 Current ACLS Provider Card

 Complete online pretest, found at www.heart.org/eccstudent (Password at bottom of 2nd pg of ACLS Provider Manual)

  • Attend and successfully complete the Instructors Essentials Course at Heart to Heart Career Training Center. Location: 312 Waller Mill rd., Suite 600, Williamsburg, VA 23185
  • ALL instructors must be monitored once within six months of completing the classroom Instructor Course before teaching a course on their own..

The American Heart Association requires ALL instructors to be registered and confirmed (aligned) on the AHA Instructor Network. Aligning on the AHA Instructor Network will allow the Instructor to obtain and use the Instructor ID# that is required on all course completion cards.

iNFANT CPR

On-site Infant CPR training for groups of 4 or more
This course is intended for new parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. This course earns a participation certificate from Heart to Heart CPR.

Cancellation Policy

CPR Cancellations of greater than 48 hours will incur a non-refundable fee of $100. Cancellations for less than 48 hours will be responsible for the full CPR fee for individual students. Groups who have scheduled an off-site course and cancel without at least 48 hours of notice will be responsible for the course fees of 5 students.
