WHERE DO MONITOR TECHNICIANS WORK?

Monitor technicians work in hospitals and other healthcare centers that provide

treatment relating to heart health. They work in any medical setting where there is

a need to monitor irregular heartbeats, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest using

specific EKG and heart monitoring technologies and tests. Monitor technicians

typically work a day or night shifts in a hospital setting and report directly to a lead

nurse or doctor. During their shifts, they observe heartbeats and electrocardiograms

(EKGs) to assist with interpreting and diagnosing conditions related to the heart.
