Yes, you must be a currently certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in Virginia to enroll in the Medication Aide program. This course builds directly on the skills you learned in CNA training. Not a CNA yet? Check out our Nurse Aide program.
Medication Aides typically earn $2–5 more per hour than CNAs — that's $4,000–$10,000 more per year. Your $600 investment can pay for itself within the first few months on the job.
Pay your $300 deposit (which includes the lab fee) at registration to secure your seat, then make payments every 2 weeks once class starts. Full payment is due before course completion. We accept payment via QuickBooks invoice, Enrollware, check, or card in our office. No interest charged. Please note: additional miscellaneous fees (background check, immunizations, CPR card, etc.) are not included in tuition.
You'll attend six on-site skills sessions (11:00 AM–3:00 PM) at Charter (440 McLaws Cir, Williamsburg, VA 23185), plus three tentative clinical days also at Charter. The rest is completed online at your own pace.
Yes! Our hybrid format is designed for working CNAs. Complete theory online on your own schedule, then attend just a few on-site skills sessions and complete your clinical hours. Many students continue working while enrolled.
Medication Aides work in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and some hospitals. The certification is especially valuable in long-term care settings where medication administration is a daily need.
The lab fee portion of your $300 deposit is non-refundable once training materials/lab access are provided. If you cancel before that point, please contact our office to review your refund options under our full refund policy.
