For full classes with 5 or more students, you can either host at our Williamsburg office or we travel to your workplace, school, daycare, or organization. Pricing is per person. A $25 travel fee applies for locations under 20 miles — longer distances may vary.

How Blended Heartsaver Works

Prefer to do the cognitive portion online first? Here's how the blended option works. For a full class, just register and show up — no prep needed.

Complete the Online Portion
Purchase and complete the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED online course at shopcpr.heart.org. This covers the cognitive portion at your own pace (~1 hour). Print your Certificate of Completion — you must bring a physical copy to class.

Book Your Skills Check
Register for the in-person skills session at Heart to Heart CTC through Enrollware. Book early — spots are limited. Skills checks are held at our Williamsburg office.

Attend the Skills Session
Come to our Williamsburg location with your printed Certificate of Completion. You'll practice CPR, AED use, and first aid skills hands-on under the supervision of a certified AHA instructor.

Receive Your AHA Course Completion Card
Upon successful completion, you receive your official AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card — valid for 2 years.

What You'll Practice In Person

The hands-on session validates the skills you learned in the HeartCode online course. Expect to demonstrate:

  • High-quality CPR with proper rate, depth, and hand placement
  • Cardiac arrest algorithms — including V-Fib, PEA, and Asystole
  • Airway management including bag-mask ventilation
  • Cardiac rhythm recognition and appropriate interventions
  • Epinephrine pen use and medication basics
  • Effective team dynamics and clear communication
  • Megacode scenario — bringing all skills together

Do I need to complete anything before attending?
Yes. You must complete the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED online course before attending this session. Bring a printed Certificate of Completion — digital copies are not accepted.
Where do I buy the HeartCode online portion?
The online course (Part 1) is purchased directly from the AHA at shopcpr.heart.org. Part 1 is a separate charge from the $65 skills check fee.
Is this for first-time certification or renewal?
Both! Whether you're getting certified for the first time or renewing every 2 years, this skills check covers you. Just complete the online portion first and bring your printed certificate.
What if I don't pass the skills check?
If you do not pass, your instructor will provide remediation on the skills during the session. If additional practice is needed, you may be asked to reschedule. A $20 rescheduling fee applies. Please note: there are no refunds for no-call no-shows. If you need to cancel or reschedule, contact us in advance at (757) 229-0919.

What are my options for group training?
Groups of 5 or more have two great options: host your class at our Williamsburg location, or we'll come to you. We travel to businesses, schools, fire stations, churches, and organizations. Pricing per person: Heartsaver CPR AED — $90(4 hrs) · CPR AED & First Aid — $115(6 hrs) · First Aid Only — $80(4 hrs). A $25 travel fee applies for locations under 20 miles. What's the difference between the three Heartsaver courses?
Heartsaver CPR AED covers CPR for adults, children, and infants plus AED use (4 hours, $90). Heartsaver CPR AED & First Aid adds first aid skills like bleeding control, stroke, heart attack, shock, choking, and more (6 hours, $115) — the most complete option. Heartsaver First Aid Only focuses on first aid without CPR, ideal if you already hold CPR certification (4 hours, $80).
🤒 Free From Illness Notice

Coming to class on your scheduled date automatically affirms you do not have any symptoms of illness or unexplained rashes within the past week. Students with symptoms will be asked to leave immediately and may not return until a healthcare professional provides a letter stating you are free from disease.

📋 Cancellation Policy

CPR cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will not receive a refund. Students who cancel with less than 48 hours notice are responsible for the full class fee.

We are happy to reschedule to another class with proper notice. A $20 rescheduling fee applies if you do not pass the skills check and need to return.

No refunds for no-call no-shows. Groups who schedule an off-site course and cancel without at least 48 hours notice will be responsible for the course fees of 5 students.
