BLS Provider
Certification
Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers. Choose the format that fits your schedule — classroom or blended HeartCode. First-time or renewal.
Both options lead to the same 2-year AHA BLS Provider certification. Pick the one that fits your schedule.
New to BLS? Both the classroom and HeartCode blended options work for initial certification. The classroom course covers everything in one 4-hour session — no prep needed.
BLS cards expire every 2 years. Both options work for renewal. The HeartCode blended option is especially popular for busy healthcare professionals — complete Part 1 online, then come in for just 1 hour.
BLS training covers the essential life-saving skills required for healthcare providers:
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- The AHA Chain of Survival — specifically the BLS components
- AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use
- Effective ventilations using barrier devices and Bag Valve Masks
- 2-rescuer CPR and team resuscitation performance
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) in adults and infants
- Written knowledge assessment
What is the difference between the classroom and HeartCode options?
Do I need a provider manual?
Is this for initial BLS or renewal?
Where do I buy the HeartCode online portion?
What if I don't pass the skills check?
Can my company book a group session?
Where is the class held?
Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will not receive a refund and are responsible for the full class fee.
We are happy to reschedule with proper notice. A $20 rescheduling fee applies if you need to return after not passing the skills check.
No refunds for no-call no-shows. Groups canceling without 48 hours notice are responsible for the course fees of 5 students.
